"SOLID BUT SMALL" by Phil on 02/20/2014

I tried this out while shopping for a new bench recently. I found it to be quite solid, stable, and easy to use. I wasn't really looking for a folding bench, just a smaller bench than my old Hoist HF-165 that could also fit my wife. Unfortunately, I'm 6'3" and found the backrest to be too short for me. If the front bottom cushion went flat, this wouldn't be an issue. However since it is elevated when the bench is in the flat position your butt is forced onto the back rest portion of the bench, which means my head is far enough back that it isn't fully supported. When in decline it was also too low for me to use the footpegs comfortably, and the yellow knob dug into my leg. I have seen a youtube review that says the yellow knob is easy enough to remove, so if you're not concerned about folding it all the time or don't use decline that may not be an issue. This is a nice good quality bench for the price, it just didn't fit me.

""A DREAM COME TRUE"..." by Ponyboy Curtis on 07/28/2013

In the 90s' I was a personal trainer and dreamed of owning a piece of hoist equipment. Nineteen years later I got around to having it come to fruition. This bench has all the necessary angles for flat bench, incline, decline and upright. The angles are not extreme and will focus on working the PECS and less on the shoulders which is the opposite of those benches which only offer extreme angles. It is well padded but "may" be a tad narrow for wide load males. I am 6'1" and 200 pounds with more leg than long torso and the torso aspect of the bench is pretty good for me. If you are 6'4" or above you may find your head protruding over the top a bit which equals less neck support. At 53 pounds and equipped with wheels it becomes mobile fairly easily when you get the right angle. I slide mine under our grand piano which works until the angle makes it unfeasible. It is very sturdy and is quite compact when folded down. The decline feature is a bit awkward (but aren't they all) as the tops of your feet rest against the metal peg shown and it is FAR from comfortable once you lean backwards. The bench looks great and it is very well constructed. For my money and my extensive research on ALL folding benches (ex. Body Solid, Bowflex etc.) this one had the least amount of cons, is nice looking, will stand the test of time and is highly functional.
