Chest Press Exercise Adjustments

To perform the Chest Press exercise, first adjust the seat angle to the Incline or Chest position by releasing the pull pin behind the seat back and positioning with the adjustment handle. Adjust the seat height for a comfortable position. Located above the seat is the ROM(Range Of Motion) adjustment for the Exercise Arm. While holding one of the handles, the starting position of the arm can be adjusted by pulling the adjustment pin and positioning the exercise arm up or down. The adjustments are numbered 1 – 4 with 4 being the farthest the arms can be positioned down for maximum travel. If the desired arm position is still too low or too high, the seat height can also be readjusted to accommodate.

Select the desired weight. Grasp either pair of handles and while exhaling push the bar upward in a smooth, controlled motion until the arms are at full extension without locking the elbows. Hold for a moment, then slowly lower the bar returning to the stat position to complete a rep. Repeat this movement for the desired number of reps.

To perform the Shoulder Pressexercise, first adjust the seat angle to the Shoulderposition by releasing the pull pin behind the seat back and positioning with the adjustment handle.
